Dr Nick Krachler
Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management
Nick Krachler is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and the Academic Director for Healthcare Leadership at King’s Business School. He holds a PhD and an MSc in International and Comparative HRM and Employment Relations from Cornell University, with additional specialisation in the sociology of work and occupations. He also earned an MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics.
Doctor Krachler’s research focuses on institutional change within the care economy, exploring workforce innovation, market making, and employment relations regulation across the US, UK, and several European countries. His findings have been published in globally and internationally leading journals such as Public Administration Review, the Human Resource Management Journal, the British Journal of Industrial Relations, and Social Science & Medicine. He has prior experience as a paramedic, an HR management consultant, and a researcher on Europe-wide research project on market making.
