Stuart is a distinguished academic holding a chair in Pharmaceutical Medicine at King’s’ Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine. He began his career at Pfizer and transitioned into academia after completing a PhD in Inhaled formulation design at King’s College London.
With over 17 years’ academic experience, Stuart leads a research team dedicated to the innovative design of pharmaceutical formulations and devices. His work focuses on understanding drug release from formulations and their interaction with biological barriers, aiming to develop new diagnostic and drug delivery systems.
He has secured over £4 million in research funding, published more than 80 research articles, and holds 8 patents. He is also a highly regarded consultant and expert witness in the pharmaceutical industry.

Developing non-invasive methods for biomarker sampling through the skin.
Exploring natural compounds to modulate skin keratinocyte function.
Designing innovative topical formulations for drug delivery to the skin, hair, and nails.
Advancing the use of 3D printing to create groundbreaking drug delivery systems.
