Tuition fee increases

*King’s reserves the right to increase fees annually. Any raise in tuition fees for current students cannot go over a 6% increase from the previous academic year's fees, or the rate of CPI from the previous November, whichever is higher. This increase also cannot surpass any government-imposed cap.

When tuition fees are raised, King's will provide affected students with at least three months' written notice before the beginning of the academic year when the fee increase will take effect. Please see King’s Terms & Conditions for Students for more information.

^ Depending on your country of residence, you may also have to pay Goods and Services Tax (GST) in addition to your tuition fees. You can find further information on the King's Goods and Services tax page

Deposit

If you receive an offer, all our postgraduate taught courses also require a £5,000 deposit to secure your place. Your offer letter will include details of any deposit you must pay, deadlines, and payment methods. You should not make a deposit payment unless instructed to as part of an offer.

Instalments

Your tuition fees will be paid in instalments over two years. You’ll be issued an invoice a few weeks before your first instalment is due.

Your funding options

Depending on your financial situation, the course you choose, and the country you’re based in, your available course payment options will vary. In broad terms, there are three options for covering course fees:

  • Self-funding, i.e., paying the tuition fees with your own personal finances and savings.
  • A bank loan, which involves borrowing money and paying it back after you’ve completed your studies. Depending on where you live, there may be loans that are specially designed for postgraduate study. For example, if you’re UK-based, you can refer to information on master’s loan options on the gov.uk website
  • Funding and bursary opportunities. If the qualification you’re looking to pursue is relevant to the industry you’re currently working in, you may find that your company or a local organisation can cover your tuition fees. This may be in part or in full.

For more detailed information on the options above, please visit our funding options page

How to pay

Tuition fees must be paid through Global Pay for Students using the following options:

  • Bank transfer in pounds sterling (GBP)
  • International bank transfer in your local currency
